Transcamster Bog belated commemorates the 650th anniversary of the House of Stuart.
Robert Stuart was the son of Walter Stewart, 6th High Steward of Scotland, and of Marjorie Bruce, daughter of King Robert I (the Bruce) and his first wife Isabella of Mar. On February 22, 1371, Robert Stuart became King of Scots and first king of the House of Stuart. His dynasty would eventually rule the three kingdoms of Scotland, England, and Ireland.
The stamp depicts an engraving of Robert II by an unknown artist, published in 1602.
The stamp is imperforate and ungummed (i.e., requires glue).
