In 2021, the stamp dealership Stanley Gibbons purchased the British Guiana 1-Cent Magenta of 1856, the world's rarest stamp. Stanley Gibbons subsequently began selling pieces or shares of the stamp. The Laird of Transcamster Bog purchased 1 out of 80,000 pieces. This stamp commemorates the Laird's purchase of his piece of the stamp.
The stamp is imperforate and ungummed (i.e., requires glue).
