Queen Elizabeth II In Memoriam CORRECTED DESIGN (issued on November 7, 2022)

A collector noticed that the Queen Elizabeth II In Memoriam stamp of November 4, 2022, had a design error: the year of the Queen's death is shown as "1922" instead of "2022:, Transcamster Bog local post rushed a corrected version into production. The new stamp shows the correct year of "2022" and was issued on November 7, 2022. Since philatelists would consider it a different design, not a variety, it has a designated first day of issue and a first day cover.

Transcamster Bog local post has issued this stamp to honour the late Queen Elizabeth II. The stamp shows a photo of the Queen that the Royal Family tweeted on the day she died.

After the stamp was issued, a collector noticed that the year of the Queen's death is incorrect, shown as "1922" instead of "2022". A revised version was quickly produced and issued on November 7, 2022. The design error version was not withdrawn and remains on sale.
